new to duck raising. please help.

I've got nothing to help but they are intriguingly pretty, whatever they are :)
I raised welsh harlequins from eggs a few years back. They looked exactly like these. I'm kinda of surprised you got them at Tractor Supply though...they are one of the more expensive, harder to find ducks. Loved them!!! Such personality

They are wonderful. I just absolutely adore them. When I asked the guy working there about their breed, he said he knew they were not mallards and thought that they may be Rouen. I guess I lucked out. :)

I think you did luck out! I'm stuck on Ancona's but this made me go look up WH's - many similarities in the points where they haven't been over bred to reduce their instincts.
I agree. Crazy surprising you found them at TSC of all places - lucky duck ;-)

Welsh Harlequins are a form of Rouens. The big difference is that WH are too tubby to fly even a little bit, while a Rouen COULD fly up to 100ft. Do your fly at all? Maybe this will help?

They have not flown yet. They do flap their wings a bit. When do ducks begin to fly? They are still are getting all their feathers in. It still amazes me how quick they grow and how you can see the changes day to day.
