Hello,
We are newer to ducks so while we have learned a lot about basic care there are pop up heath issues that we have yet to deal with. We have call ducks and two of them are showing issues with their eyes. From what I have been able to find so far I’m thinking infection in the eye or possibly upper respiratory issue. They do sound congested/wheezy and one does have slight discharge that just started from his nose. Both just started with the eye issue. One only has a issue with one eye and doesn’t sound bad, the other has both eyes and the wheezy sound. I’m not sure what to give them to help them. What meds would be safe for ducks to use for these issues?
Thanks!

Miss Lydia - recently gave them straw for bedding. They are currently in a wire floor raised pen with an attached next box while their main new enclosure is finished. They range from a year to four years old. No mold it’s cleaned and changed frequently. Water and food are kept on the wire so no messes. Vet is not at option. There is no avian vet anywhere in the area. We do all our own medical with our chickens.

Reading through the list of antibiotics looks like Clavamox is the best for respiratory infections. @Isaac 0 has Calls not sure if he’s ever had a respiratory illness in his flock though. What bedding are you using and how old are your Calls. Have you checked for mold in their bedding or their sleeping quarters and is a vet an option?
