Hi all,

We have thought about getting ducks for the last year but have not made the move. Our (country) neighbor finally convinced us into it and has a broody on a nest full of
Kaki Camball duck eggs (or however you spell that).

Any and all info on raising ducks would be appreciated.

We are planning on letting them get all their own food except for a little to lure them into a doghouse in the evenings. We already have free range chickens.

What should I do for a nest setup? Could we lure them in with black oil sunflower seeds? What should I NOT do like I do for the chickens? Like I said any info will be very much appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

It's Khaki Campbells just so you know. (Hope that didn't sound snarky;))n Someone on here will fill you in on the details.
All ducks are wonderful. We have Indian Runners (2), a Pekin and something we still can't identify, but she is little and VERY cute.
Welcome!

Thanks veronicasmom. I am glad I now know how to spell it see Khaki Campbells. One new thing learned.

Seriously though I know nothing else (except what I know about chickens that applies but I don't even know what applies and what doesn't.)
So who will be next in line to teach me something?

Can't wait to see what's next,
