New to ducks need some help!!

For the last 2 years iv raised ducklings first 2 kahki cambells then this yr 3 mallards. I jist recently rescued a beautiful buff orpington duck from the city and according to previous owners she is one yr old. My question is does she need a male to lay eggs and if I let her together with my male and female mallards I won't get a mixed breed will i? Any help or advice at all is appreciated! !!

She doesn't need a male to lay, and yes, if you put her in with a male mallard he would mate with her and her eggs would hatch mixed breed ducklings.

The male is a baby right now I'm not even are if she is a buff I'm trying to post pics.
