New to ducks

So my husband and I have gotten 2 runner duckling! So exciting but I was wondering how long they can be out an around? We had them in their brooding box but they seem upset and keep trying to get out. My husband is now sitting on the couch with them and they have calmed down and gone to sleep. I am not sure if that ok or normal and if they will be warm enough.

It's sweet. He is likely warm enough that they are okay if they are right on top of him.

They become very attached to their people sometimes. An unbreakable mirror in the brooder may help.
