Hi, I'm new here, and new to keeping ducks. We have one muscovy, 2 Blue Swedish and one Welsh Harlequin, all female. I felt bad for always taking all the eggs so bought some fake eggs, but since I did this my muscovy has gone all broody and sits on the ceramic eggs all day and has started making this high pitched peeping sound. I feel bad for her and don't know what to do. Im almost temped to find her some fertilized eggs! There's so much to learn. My other three have not laid since I got them (from Craigslist). I thought it was the cold weather but it's warm again now and the muscovy (adopted for the humane society) is laying, so I don't understand. They have grit, oyster shell, laying food, mealworms, vegetables and scratch, and lots of water. Anyway, sorry for the jumble of information and questions. Thanks for the fabulous site!!

Welcome to Backyard chickens. I don't know much about ducks but, I think the folks on the "Duck thread," would be able to help you. Just put that in the search box and it will come up for you.
