Hi all, great to find this forum, looks like you guys are a wealth of information!
Have been keeping my own chickens for about 18 months now, but sadly all were lost recently to a hungry abandoned cat.
Have replaced the chickens with a collection of birds. 4 bantams, 2 hens and 5 Muscovy ducks. The birds are all young and I am having a heck of a time attempting to sex the ducks. They were all kept together as they were young, and are currently housed in a temporary arrangement with two coops but one run. Want to get the ducks moved soon to let them settle into their new home before they reach lay age. Problem is I think I may have mostly drakes...hoping the experts can help me out! What do you think??

sorry about ur birds
easiest way to tell drake from hen is by quack.. Drakes have a soft raspy quack while females have a loud stereotypical duck quack.. When they are older males get a curl on their tales while females stay straight.
