Hi everyone! After a lot of books, research and reading my hubby and I have taken the plunge and adopted some wonderful 7 week old chickens! This is all new to us and I have really valued how informative and friendly all the posts I have been reading are! I am unsure of the sex of all the chickens yet so not sure who will be with us long term and who will be rehomed. I currently am chicken mama to 3 Easter egg pullets, 2 Easter egger/maran mixes which I think are pullets, and 2 Cochins, one is a pullet and one a cockerel I think. I'll know for sure in the weeks to come I imagine, I really hope it's just one roo, since that would be fine :). Just wanted to say thanks and I look forward to getting to know everyone and value all the information and advice I can get! Thanks!!

Welcome to BYC! Glad to have you here. The Learning Center has a lot of good information on it if you haven't already checked it out. Hope you're enjoying your birds!

Welcome to BYC! Glad you decided to join our flock. X2 on our Learning Center. Also, you might want to post close up pics of you birds on What Breed or Gender is This? at https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/15/what-breed-or-gender-is-this and let our experts there have a shot at sexing them for you. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck with your flock.
