No...but she stole an extra egg & is still sitting. The extra egg isn't due for another 10 days. Not happy, Jan...Soooo cute. Anything happening with the two remaining eggs?
That is, almost certain, not going to work. Not even with a co-broody.No...but she stole an extra egg & is still sitting. The extra egg isn't due for another 10 days. Not happy, Jan...![]()
No. She stole an Aracuna egg so was sitting on 2 blue & a brown- not that it matters any more. I was out all morning & came home to find Wrold off the nest & out in the coop with her chick, the extra eggs stone cold. I'd say she is done. That is, almost certain, not going to work. Not even with a co-broody.
The chick inside is not much chick yet now. Researcher claim they don’t feel pain til day 13 (killing males in the egg) .
So I think this egg only has a chance if you buy an incubator and a heat plate. & are willing to spend a lot of time with the extra chick. At least for the first week. Some mammas take foster kids who get along well enough.
Btw: I thought I saw a blue and a cream egg. Is 1 egg fake?
