For the last 40 years I have kept and rescued parrots & never expected to keep chickens, but about a year ago when a flock needed re-homed friends referred the previous owner to me because I have a little acreage in a rural area. 4 hens & a coop for them to live in didn’t seem so much so I agreed to take them in. Apparently word spread quickly - now I have 11 hens, 6 roosters, 4 ducks and 8 turkey poults in addition to my parrot flock. They are far more entertaining and have much more personality than I had ever thought. This last year has been a big learning experience for me & I need to learn more about these birds to keep them happy & healthy- so here I am😃
