yes! Though have been wanting to for decades... Bought books, read and read, but always felt unsure especially in coop design/building. Decided to get over that be getting chicks. We will have a coop in six weeks hell our high water.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 6
(3) What breeds do you have? 6 different ones. Rhode Island Red, ISA Brown, Dominant Copper, Olive Egger, Welsummer, blue laced red Wyandotte.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? They're entertaining, and eggs.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? We grow cool South American orchids, garden, and sew.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. Two indoor cats, a yellow naped Amazon parrot. We're both retired research scientists, but still consult a few days a week.
