Hello im from san antonio and i would like to introduce myself. I have gotten a lot of great info from this site and hope i can post in case i have any questions, any replys toward my questions would be greatly appreciated as i am a novice when it comes to chickens. i just had 38 baby chicks killed by a stray cat, one survived. i just ordered 12 buffs, 12 rhode islands, 12 barred rocks and 25 cornish x rock. I guess i have to completely enclose my coop and run from here on out.

I'm having to enclose everything myself. I think my problems a hawk family. Not to mention coons, possums, and cyotes. My cat will stalk the chickens but only wants to play. He lets them get away before he even gets close.

and sorry about your chickens. my chickens free range but they are older. they are locked up at night because we have coyotes, opposums, racoons, wild dogs, owls, you name it.
