I searched to see if there were any posts. But I am contemplating keeping my goslings in my house for the first couple weeks in their brooder, as we have chicks in the garage brooder. Are Geese smellier than chicks, or they about as clean as long as I keep their bedding clean and what not. Thanks for any advice.

Cecal droppings will smell pretty strong, other than they won’t be that noticeable as long as their bedding is changed regularly, which will be more and more often as they get older.

The possibility for them being worse and smellier is there, because geese need a water dish that they can get their whole bill into so they can rinse their nares, and when they use it they can splash water onto the bedding.
I hatched goslings last spring and brooded them in my basement. It wasn't an issue for me since I kept things clean.

Thank you! Yeah I am a clean brooder fanatic with my chicks so that won't be a problem! I am going to have down vinyl flooring on top of my floor with the brooder on top.
