Hi, so glad I found this group! I have 10 week old hens and a coop and run that is just about finished! I did things backwards! 
I purchased two Golden Comets and Twitter ISA Browns. Bought them because of egg laying potential. It turns out that they are good for first time chicken owners! Thank goodness for that!
Right now I keep them in my garage at night and put them out in a confined space during the day. I live in the city where there are many predators so these girls may not free range. Makes me sad! I may however fix portable fenced areas where they can be out while I work in my garden and yard. So glad to be apart of the group! I love reading all the information!
