OK: To start off; I have to give a little background for those that don't know:
There is a University here in Texas that's the Rodney Dangerfield of universities.....
It's A&M ....which is 'Texas University of Agriculture and Medicine' ....anyway....equate the brunt of "Aggie" jokes to Polish jokes.....
So....being new to all this, I decided to grow some chickens.....after several unsuccessful attempts....I finally called A&M.....and got an expert on the line.....He asked me to describe the problem.....
I said: "Well, I buried the first batch of chicks about 1 1/2" deep....but none sprouted." "So I tried planting them 1/2 way headfirst...but they just withered away"....."Finally, I buried them 1/2 way feet first, but they didn't grow....and all died in short order...."
The Aggie thought for a moment, and then said: "Tell ya what; send us a soil sample...."
