New To Hatching

Awwww she's pretty

. And thanks, don't know what breed mine is but she is cute

. I started her out with 6 eggs, since this is my and her first time I thought I'd start small. Now we're down to 3, she kicked out the rest. But I candled them, and saw veins on all of them!

I can't believe how quickly the time passed. I candled the eggs on the weekend and found one had not developed at all, so out of 12, one got cracked and one wasn't fertile, so we have 10... I went out this morning and there was no action, but just before noon there was one little chicky and now there are two

Your eggs may have already hatched but as to candling eggs under a broody hen I advise against that as it will bother most hens and you don't want to have her abandon the nest.

Awwwww!!! She/He is so cute!! All of my eggs ended up either breaking or getting rolled out, so I'm going to wait for a different hen to go broody and try again. I'm disappointed, but this is her and my first time so I'm not too surprised. But anyway, congratulations!
