How old are your chickens? Congrats on your first egg!

The four pullets are various sizes, but it seems that it is split into 2 and 2 for approximately the same size and the hens are older, but all I remember was that the Rhode Island Reds were already laying eggs, which is why we got them. I just asked and the pullets are all between 10-12 weeks, and the hens are about 6 months.

Hey, welcome to the community. I know getting your first egg can be one of the most exciting things! When our first group of chickens finally started laying, it was the funniest thing, some of the eggs were smaller than golf balls!

We cleaned them out and kept the intact shells in a jar to remind us of how they started. Plus, I bet that first egg you had was one of the best!
