Hello to all,

My name is Phil I'm from Sydney Australia. I'm new to owning chickens I have 1 but plan to get more when I build a larger coop and pen. I'm not sure what sort of peep I got as it wondered into the yard. Any help with determining the age and breed of the peep would be greatly appreciated.

She's very pretty - good find. Maybe some of your countrymen would recognize her breed. try the aussie thread, "Australia, six states and one funny little island."

Hello and Welcome To BYC! X3, try the What Breed Or Gender Is This forum. Interesting little bird, does look like a mix with the feathered feet, odd comb and barring. Does seem young, and with the reddish feathers coming in would vote young cockerel right now.
