Found this site while looking for interior pictures of chicken coops.
I will be completely new to chickens and I'm trying to get as much knowledge as possible.
Through my teenage years my father had a Hawk (yes, he had a license). He has since passed away and my mom agreed to let me take down the cage for the hawk and move it to my home. Some if the wood has started to rot but by husband believes it will all be fairly simple repairs.

I'm located just a little south of Dallas, TX.
Two children:
Daughter 16
Son 9
two dogs and a fish tank.

We have tons of coyotes in our area so I'm currently looking into predator proofing and coop needs for the chickens.

Welcome to the best Poultry resource on the InterWebs. I highly recommend some form of electric poultry netting as part of your predator proofing plan.
