New to keeping chickens. cooking.

Yes will do, I have recently been doing birthday cakes and it seemed to have escalated. Not really a cake person but enjoy decorating and have started making fondant flowers and stuff.

Welcome to BYC! Never boring. We love reading animal stories around here, I certainly do. Congrats on nursing the roo back to health.
Thank you. Yes I was pleased. I am now thinking might not have been such a good idea as he is only 4 months old and has been sparring up to me. I now have been picking him up and petting him and when putting him down I lightly push him to the ground in a submissive pose. He now is very respectful and comes to sit on me for treats and petting. So fingers crossed.

Yep, Roos need love too! :love

Hello, and welcome to BYC. Not enough space/boredom and protein deficiency can lead to feather pecking/plucking. Generally the most perfect looking birds in the flock are the culprits. By providing more space, affixing Pin Less Peepers the habit can sometimes be broken. After they regrow feathers, it may be possible to remove the blinders. Good luck with resolving this problem.
