Hey - my name is Todd and my wife and daughter and I are within about a month of being backyard chicken farmers! We have formed a sort of urban commune (no stereotypes...seriously!) in which we share meals with two other couples on a weekly basis, share tools, share our lives, and have all decided to take something on additionally to share with the group. My wife and I have wanted chickens for a while, so we are excited to have that as our thing "to share". The others have aquaponics, and baker, in which he's sprouting the grains prior to making it into flour...
I've read a lot and have learned a ton, and am excited to continue learning the best way - hands on! So I'll be on here quite a bit I'm sure, and look forward to getting to chat with some of you and learn from a lot of you!

Glad to have you join us! I have been raising chickens for 3 years, and I love it. I learn more every day. It's a very fun experience and I'm glad you are going to get to experience the fun of chickens too. Enjoy your soon-to-be flock!!
