Update on the waterer set up shown above:
This is for the one I have listed as Outside Set-up.
Last night it went down to 16°, I went out this morning and noticed that 3 of the 5 nipples had frozen. Not a hard freeze, I had to just tap on the nipple a touch to get the water to flow again. I'm thinking the chicken peeking on it would have been enough to get it going again. Inside the pail water was fine no freezing issues. This bucket has a 50watt aquarium heater in it.
I would rate this setup good down to about 20° after that you will have to monitor for freezing nipples.
