Refurbished our previous coop which started out as an Iguana enclosure. We put it outside and added outside space. Had to go without chickens for a few years and always missed them. Friends have been complaining they have to throw their snails and dandelion weeds away! This year we replaced the roof and all wire to smaller gauge as we had a few mice make their way in through the old wire. We just picked up 2 Black Austrolorps, 2 Delaware, a Buff Plymouth Rock and a Wyandotte. I doubt they had the snacks they got this morning before; strawberry tops. I expect a day or two of 'stress' before they go back to laying. They are a year old and a bit 'picked' on as it looked like they were crowded where I got them. The grandkids are due for their summer visit and will be thrilled. Chickens and 2 new kittens to replace 2 ancient kitties we lost last year.
