Hi there! We moved to just outside Asheville last fall and got our first chicks this past spring. We’ve built a deluxe coop for our 8 chickens. My husband picked them out and unfortunately his memory and his poor note taking means were not quite sure which breeds we have. I’ve done a little online research and I think we have one black Austrolorpe, 2 Americaunas, 2 Isa Browns, 2 Wyandottes and the last one is a mystery. He thought he had a Coco Maran or a Speckled Sussex, or a Rhode Island Blue but we don’t know. I’m attaching a pic of our mystery caramel colored chicken below in case anyone knows the likely breed.
They just started laying this month and we have brown and green gray eggs from our Easter Egger.
We also have two ducks, two bunnies and a Shih Tsui lap dog. We are avid hikers and spend considerable time chasing after our two kids.
