New to Oklahoma, best chickens? :)

Hi Susan, it's nice to meet you! I would think any breed that isn't too big and fluffy would do well there. Leghorns and red sex links are very good layers. Barred Rocks are good layers as well. It's hard to pick, there are so many breeds to choose from! :)

Hi and welcome to Oklahoma! I'm sure you will get louts of opinions on this one. I'd say most breeds do fine here. Cinnamon Queens/ Red sex links lay well and are very friendly. Are you looking for a few birds to keep in town?
I am looking for two pullets/hens in Norman Oklahoma if you have suggestions, thanks! I would like to purchase birds that are older than 16 weeks or in their first laying season.
