Just want to say hi and thank you in advance for the help and joy we hope to get from the byc website. We, as a large family, have been enjoying raising our small flock of laying chicks/hens and eating the fresh eggs daily for a few years now. We just got a new batch of 15 chicks on Saturday and sorry to say we already have 4 dead ones.
We are hoping we didn't get a bad batch & that they'll all be dead shortly. Since we have not had this problem in the past, I instantly "googled" info and I'm happy to say found the byc web page. Now I best be getting busy and find out what's wrong with the chicks that my children are already in love with.

Sorry to hear you're having losses, that's especially tough on the kids. Hope the rest of them are ok.

So very sorry to hear of your early losses, it can be especially hard on children. I was that type of child

and as an oldster I still get very upset. Hope the ER people can help turn things around.
