New to Peafowl

This is my first time dealing with peafowl, i have some in the incubator, is there anything I need to Know about them when they hatch? I have never done peafowl before, whats there behavior like? I have read that some people dont put them on grass till there 6 months?

Some people do some people don't. The main reason is because the peachicks could pick up a parasite but in my opinion they should do fine. It's just one of those very unlucky things that happen. My peafowl have grass in their pen and the hen brought her chicks out into the grass and they all lived. A peachick can get a parasite when on the ground but I think you shouldn't stress too much about it since if you think about peafowl live in the wild and should be fine. It's a rare chance of a peachick getting a parasite. Make sure they have a feed that is at least 20% protein. If you can find medicated feed around that protein level or higher that would be even better.
