I've four eggs in the incubator now ... We are on day 4 ... I read somewhere that peafowl shouldn't be on dirt for the first year something about getting sick if they are ... Is there truth to this ....

In my opinion don't worry too much about it. My peahen has raised chicks on the ground before. The reason why is because they can sometimes get Histomoniasis aka Blackhead. Peachicks can die very quickly. I think it was 4 months someone told me but I wouldn't worry too much about. Peafowl have raised their young on the ground for many years and more years to come. Make sure they have everything they need and they remain healthy for the most part.
Hey I am also new and my hen laid some eggs if/when they hatch would you recomend sepperating them from chickens, rooster (batamn silkies), peacocks, ect.
