We have been wanting peafowl for quite some time but have never found any close to our area. (I could incubate, but am unsure about ordering eggs) A friend from church has a pair and has 5 eggs incubating. My question is - If we get a male and female out of this group can they breed without causing genetic defects with the young?

Any info appreciated-

I think it would be best if you could get an unrelated pair. Brother and sister breeding isn't really the best thing to do...I think eventually you can end up with problems.

This breeder listing should help you find a breeder in or near your area:
