Hello....
Just had a hen hatch 4 chicks over night and one.little.guy is.dried out.but dead.....with his eyes closed.
Anyone ever have this?
She is not my normal broody hen...this may even be her first chicks ever.
She is on the other three.
So far so good.with the three living.

I just.never saw a dead one fully dry under a hen.

Not that experienced. I have one broody girl that takes care of business.

This is a older hen that I brought to.my property that went broody.

Oh well.

Thought I could find.similar story for.understanding.
