New to quail

They are so fun! Most of the things I love most end up being related to how dim they are (like how they just collapse where they are when they want to sleep, or if it gets dark! ) but they’re very low key which I appreciate!

Definitely! Do you have any chickens? Or only quail?

No chickens! Our town only allows 6 hens (it’s a pretty urban suburb with small yards) and the coop needs to be 50’ from any property line which felt, restrictive! A few neighbors have chickens, but they’re pretty loud (even being hens) and I was worried what my hound would do if I had birds milling about the yard

Hey y’all! We have ten 5 week old Coturnix quail in various colors, with another batch of eggs incubating now.

I’m excited to hear yalls thoughts on our DIY coops, learn more about color genetics, and other quail-y things through everyone with far more experience than us.
