Hello Folks, we're new to raising a flock. We're located in Tonopah, AZ. We currently have 4 female Cortunix Quail, they killed the male, 2 Hens and 1 Rooster, 3 Turkey youngs unsexed. We bought a small Rcom incubator and bought five fertilized Celadon eggs, they all failed to hatch on the scheduled day, we're still incubating them in lock down mode 5 days post hatch date. Not sure how much longer we should hold out hope for hatching, we read some eggs can take 24 days to hatch. The Rcom doesn't have a humidity regulator so we're clueless, I placed a damp napkin inside the incubator but removed it when the moisture appeared on the view cover. Any advice?

Howdy :frow Welcome to Backyard Chickens. Enjoy your time here!

If your quail eggs haven't hatched by day 20, they are either infertile, or (dis) died in shell. Have you tried candling the eggs to see what's going on with them?
You really need a calibrated hygrometer for your incubator to be able to know what the % Rh is in the incubator. ACCURITE makes a cheap but accurate hygrometer, once it's been 'salt test' calibrated.
