I put up a 10x20 yard and bought a coop kit (which I wouldn't recommend). I should have just found someone to build a good one for me!! But anyhow, it's up with 6 nesting boxes and about a 3x4 interior with the boxes at the side of that.
On July 15th I bought 6 1-wk old chicks from TSC. Black Australorps. So they are now 10 wks and I STILL have no clue as to gender! I've looked at the discussions where you have helped others and hope you can help me with the newest pictures I've taken. If you CAN tell me the differences and how you decide, tell me what you saw that helped to determine that if you can.
Thanks. Love this site!!
Thought I had editted these so they would be the correct orientation. Don't know why they are showing up this way!

They seem to be determined to sleep UNDER the coop, which has a wired in base about 1.5 ft high. I think the nesting boxes are OK, but from your comment I probably need a bigger coop area. I may be able to just extend the coop with an added roof and maybe that will let me put in more roosts inside.

Thanks so much for your help. "All girls" is a great relief!!

(Did I post this correctly? Or should I have posted in the forums?)
