Ok so 3 months ago I bought 2-Black sex links. Last week I learned that one of the two was a rooster, I live in a city area and can not have a rooster. So we gave him away. Now my one hen is all by herself, I want to get 1 or two more chickens but have no luck finding them at the same age. I bought a almost two month old chicken today and within 4 hours she flew/ran away. How can I make another chicken love it's home like the one I have now?
Please let me know what I should do? I'm sad she's by herself.

I bought a almost 2 month old chic today she flew/ran away within 5 hours if having her. My other two Never even tried to fly over my fence.

Did you keep her confined in a safe secure enclosure until she learned to acclimate to the new surroundings?
I hope you have a bigger coop and run than what is in your avatar, which is only big enough for maybe 2 birds.....
....integrating new birds takes extra space.

Agree. You can't just let a new chicken out, especially if you've only had them a little bit and they are still scared.

SHE IS BACK! I went out this morning and she was right next to the coop. I only have two chickens but when I bought the coop it said for 5 hens. I also let them run around in my fenced in yard often.
