I am just a hobbyist at this wanting eggs for my whole family. Love the chickens too. I named them and they live like queens.

I am retired and trying to learn how to live the old ways. Growing vegetables, herbs to eat and use as medicine.
Making my own laundry detergent.
One of my hobies is couponing love it too.
I attached pic of my nesting room and supplies. I painted the nesting box still working on the coop. You might as well make it a happy and cute place to spend time. Thanks for letting me join.

Hi :frow
Welcome to BYC!
We are so glad you joined our coop.
This video should help you find your way around the site.

I love hearing about people wanting to become more self-sufficient and sustainable, getting back to their roots. In my opinion there's nothing more rewarding (and freeing) than learning how to take care of yourself and not relying on others to live. Congrats! I recently joined this forum as well, and I really like it, and the awesome people!
