So I just picked up my baby chicks this past weekend.
I originally wanted to start with 4 but I ended up going home with 5 baby chicks
I have never owned chickens before.
I bought black sex link cinnamon queen and one other I cant remember the name ( oops)
I kept on running into the BackYardChickens.com website as I was doing research, mainly through Pinterest. So since there was so many resources from this site I thought it would be a good idea to join.
Although I'm new to chicken I love gardening. I recently moved to the country from a city so I only have experience with patio container gardening so it looks as if I'm still a newbie! I plan on still using my containers of course!
So my husband and I just moved in with my mother out here we will be staying with her for about 18 months. Luckily my mother had a 2 bedroom apartment made in her basement so we will have plenty of personal space . We both currently work full time jobs as we start our family we are looking to transition me out of the work force and become more sustainable and live comfortably on one income. WE have no other animals at the point but are looking to get goats in the near future.
