New to raising chickens

Hi Sara! I'm in WY but don't heat my coop. I do, however, firmly believe in a heated waterer...no messing with frozen drinking water if I can help it.

Thank you! I'm thinking about trying one of those heat panels, they seem safer than a lamp, less likely to be a fire hazard anyway.

I caution you , we ordered one from amazon used it one winter, it was great , during the day I smelled something off, we took apart the “ sealed” electric box to find black smoke, burnt plastic and raw Uninsulated wires!! They offered a replacement, we took a refund .

That’s when we bought a barn heater that we blow out every week or so , it smells hot when it’s dusty ....

No, it was a white panel made in India , it was a few years ago
