Ordered 6 chicks end of September (2 red sex links and 4 Ameraucanas). We're just finishing the henhouse and starting on the run. They've been inside the house about 6 weeks now, and we're eager to get them in their house. Our run won't be covered, and is mainly clay and a little grass. Do I need to add wood chips or sand or anything to the run? This is our first time raising chickens.
