I recently bought two ducklings from our local tractor supply store, one is a Peking and the other I'm assuming is a mallard. I am not sure what breed it is yet or how to tell. I am also unsure how old they are considering the store gave me no information on them. I give them time in the bathtub everyday and was wondering how many times a day and for how long they are able to be in water, they love bath time so far. I was also wondering how you sex them, and how to tell how old they are. I'm assuming they are both boys and have named them but I want to be sure so I don't wake up one day to a nest of eggs lol. I also wondered how long I need to feed them medicated food that the store told me to use. I am new to all of this but wanted to raise ducklings for the longest time. I adore them very much and look forward to as they get older. Thanks to all who reply :)

I'll figure out how to delete the thread. Thanks!

Firstly, theres absolutely no need to apologise! (you think i don't sometimes post in the wrong place?

). If a duck expert found your post here, they would help out - I'm sure of that. If you have not posted on New member introductions before, then leave your post so that other greeters can also respond. If you have posted here before, you can simply write "Deleted post" as a reply to this post - (that way other members will see that you have deleted the post and not open it).

Cheers

It's nice to have you here!

Welcome to Backyard chickens. Just put "Duck thread," in the search box. It will pop up and then you can post there and ask your questions. The duck folks should be very helpful to you.
