Hello we are Mike and Patty from Southern Wisconsin.
We took care of some friends chickens in January and the girls (hens) inspired us to raise our own hens!
We have 7 Orpingtons and 5 Barred Rocks and 2 Guineas.
So we look forward to the chicken talk here on Backyard Chickens!

Glad you could join the flock! That's lovely to hear that caring for your friends girls has inspired you to get started on your own chicken adventures. Chicken keeping is a great hobby and lots of fun. I had an Orpington once but he turned out to be boy do I had to rehome him but he's made a lovely bird. We also a have some guineas down at the farm where I keep the horse and they have a very loud alarm call!!
