I picked Two little cuties from a local feed store . I'm not sure what kind they are but I think there about 3 weeks old. There very afraid of us but watching them from a distance they love playing with each other. I feed them starter feed and make sure their pen is clean and have plenty of clean water. Does anyone know what else they need?

Just make sure everything is clean, and that the temp. is correct, and also spend time with them for bonding.

I just got 5 baby chicks for our daughter for Easter and we were told that were a week old but husband thinks that they are older then that but we have them under a heat lamp still and we were told they are a few different breeeds and we guestion that to because when we looked them up they look different then what we were told so we are not sure what kind we have bur we only want them for eggs only and for something for our daughter to take care of.

we do not have a heat lamp but we do make sure the room is at a perfect temp for them and well ventilated . does anyone know what kind of dust they need to bath in? and do they need any kinds of vaccines? or dewormers if there is such a thing? Im use to raising cats so its a new venture for me. thanks for the helpful info!
