From the info I could gather on here i think i have 2 roos and 2 girls. I dont have any pics right yet
the two that i think are roos are larger than the girls and have bright purple cheeks (no wattles yet)
and well the two girls are oposite, smaller and no color on the cheeks
am I right on this?
Also do the same rules apply to keeping silky roos as any other chicken? 1 roo per 12-13 hens? because if I don't have to choose one I won't , lol
I was originally only keeping them as brooders but i kinda like them, say I wanted silky babies but the silkies are mixed in with the rest of my flock. How would I approach it. I have 2 pens but the second one is usually occupied by my meat flock and is not set up properly for brooding (although my guess is it would take much) and is not insulated for winter use.
