Hey guys! very new to the site, but really freaking out.

I have three hens and it's going to be their first fourth of July. My neighbors, being the idiots that they are, will set off fireworks in celebration. I'm so scared of how afraid my chickens may be.

I really don't want to come home to find them dead

Not sure if I'm being too overprotective, but just really would like to know. If you have time to look this over, it would be muuuch appreciated

Thanks :)
Awesome, I just don't now too much about chickens XD Joined the site to change that :D I had four chickens but one day, my mom came home and one of the reds was just dead. She wasn't even sick :/

Hi and :welcome from Ohio. So glad to have you aboard. I would just make sure they are in a safe place. If startled, they could fly out of an outside pen. Good luck. :thumbsup

Probably no different than a thunderstorm to them. Just make sure they are shut in for the night.

Yeah, I agree with this.
Your chooks should be okay. :)
Sorry to hear you guys lost one. :hugs Sometimes it just happens, could be for a variety of reasons.

:welcome

Hi and welcome to BYC. They should be fine. Someone near me started there fireworks celebration a little early last night so I went out to check my ladies and they were all roosting in the coop like nothing was even happening!
