Meat chickens have to be "processed" young before their organs and legs give out, from their explosive growth. I doubt a boy would be around very long to upset neighbors with crowing.

Hi all, pretty new to raising chickens. I have mine about a year. The girls are great! I recently adopted two extras from a friend who said they were female meat chicken but one has started to crow during the day..yikes.. trying to figure out if its a rooster but i cant tell.. Any advice..?
