New to the Barnyard !

Hi, I'm Susan and I'm new to the whole backyard farm revolution. As a health care practitioner, with growing concerns about our food supply, I have gotten on board with sustainable environmental changes, growing a better food supply and learning .....lots and lots of learning ! Maybe I missed my calling and should have given in to a secret wish to live in a farmhouse and being a country girl !

One of the projects I want to try is raising a couple of chickens, just at first, to see how it goes. So I found this site and it seemed like a good place to start ! Thanks to anyone who offers advice (in advance), love to make new friends !
