new to the BYC

Howdy,
Just trying to figure out how everything works in here. so far this site is great, and so much info. I have a wife, three boys, an english pointer and three bantams (2 silver seabrights and a buff orbington). All my family farms and I grew up around that lifestyle. I moved closer to the city and missed the critters and decided to get chickens. Needed some info and I found this site and here I am.

I am new to BYC too but not to the country life. I was raised on a small farm and love animals of all kinds. We have nine cows, nine chickens, two dogs, and some yard cats between my home and my parents' place. I got my chicks back in August and they are doing great and have been laying for about a month now. After years of not having any chickens it felt like I had to learn everything all over again but I am enjoying every minute of having them.
