Hi,
New here! I am also new to chickens. I’ve been doing tons of research since we moved to the country in December. We’ve always wanted a laying flock and can finally accommodate. 3 weeks ago I built our brooder and 2 weeks ago started bringing chicks home. I am calling it our Rainbow flock. We have decided that for our first flock we will get an assortment of layers to determine which hens we like. We are trying to stick to the calm and docile breeds. We’re a family of 4, and we’ll be giving eggs to both my parents and my husband parents so we settled on 15 layers. I have a 7yr old and a 12 yr old and both are in 4H and want to do the poultry project, so well have a few ornamental chicks as well. So here’s the ladies! (we hope they’re all hens)

Reba- Red Sussex
Francis- Cuckoo Maran
Nugget- Barred Rock
Daisy- Welsummer or Legbar? Was in the ornamental bin....
Robin- Ameraucana
Big Mama- Ameraucana
Blue- Ameraucana
Rose- Black Star
Dorothy- Cuckoo Maran
Sophia- Black Australorp
Lucy- White Cochin
Margret- Mystery Chick. Was in the Ameraucana bin.
?- Blue Laced Red Wyandotte
?- Blue Australorp/Rhode Island Red
Pip, Blanche, and Edith our our Fancy Feathers. The are Assorted Polish Chicks!
