Welcome to BYC! Not sure what part of California you're in, but I've found my Buff Orpington does very poorly in the summer when it reaches 100+ degrees because of all the fluffy feathers, good luck to you.

Thnks for the welcome everyone! The 15 by 15ft area does include the run as well. And im in the stanislaus area this was my first year here(transferred to the university out here) and it did get extremely hot 100+
