Hi,
As stated in the subject line, I am new to the chicken raising family. I have been around the FFA environment with my kids while they were in high school. My daughter was very involved and on the poultry team for many years. I grew up in a rural area where organic wasn't a buzz word and was the normal way we ate.
We have moved to an area that will allow me to indulge my quest of raising and harvesting my food where I can control the quality of it.
I look forward to learning from those who have much knowledge and insight to help me attain my goals of raising chickens that are happy and healthy and lay quality eggs.
