hi this is my first year with chickens. I absolutely love my ladies and my guy guy Floyd. I probably have more chickens than anyone starting out should. I started with 30, gave 2 away, 6 Cornish are in the freezer and one escaped last week and eaten by a fox 
I'm left with 5 RI, 6 leghorn, 4 black sex links, 5 silkie hens, and a silkie rooster named Floyd. Other then the leghorns they are all super friendly, letting me pet them and flying up into my lap when they are freeranging in the evenings. And excited to say that I'm already getting beautiful and delicious little eggs much earlier than expected
